About Joe
Hi, I'm Joe Eaton - and Progressive Electric has wired Chittenden County since 2006.
I started Progressive Electric out of Essex Junction with one rule: do the work the way I'd want it done in my own home.
Nineteen years later that's still the rule. Me and my apprentice handle every job ourselves. We leave a clean site, dispose of the debris, and we still answer the emergency line at 2 a.m. when a breaker panel sizzles or the smoke detectors won't stop chirping.
You'll see us at the Essex Memorial Day parade every year. I live in Essex Junction, I pay taxes here, and my customers are my neighbours.

Do you do free estimates?
Yes - we provide a free estimate for all major projects. Free estimates cover new builds and minor repairs. Send a note about the job through the form, or call Joe directly, and we'll get back to you quickly with a quote.
Do you install backup generators?
Yes. As an authorized Generac dealer we'll help you choose the standby generator that fits your panel and budget, then install and commission it. We also install Generlink-style transfer switches for portable generator owners. Life is unpredictable - we'll make sure you're ready for the next storm.
What's your service area?
We're based in Essex Junction and cover Chittenden County: Williston, Burlington, South Burlington, Colchester, Winooski, Jericho, Underhill, Westford and Milton - plus Essex Junction itself. If you're a little outside the county, give us a call anyway; we'll let you know.
